Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
Clarik ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered Facebook Ads agent. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use our service at clarikai.com.
1. Data We Collect
When you connect your Facebook account and use Clarik, we collect:
- Facebook OAuth data: your Facebook user ID and access token (used to read your ad account)
- Ad account ID: the ID of the ad account you connect to Clarik
- Ad performance data: spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, frequency, actions (leads) — fetched from Meta API
- Campaign and ad data: names, statuses, budgets, and creative information
- Chat history: your messages and Clarik's responses within the AI agent interface
- Profile information: your business niche, city, and goals — detected automatically or provided by you in conversation
- Email address: if you provide it during onboarding or in conversation, used to send weekly reports
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide the Clarik service:
- Analyze your Facebook ad campaigns and generate performance insights
- Send automated alerts when issues are detected (low CTR, ad fatigue, budget warnings)
- Deliver weekly performance reports to your email
- Compare your metrics against industry benchmarks for your niche
- Maintain session memory so Clarik remembers context between conversations
- Detect your business niche and city to personalize recommendations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
To deliver the Service, we work with these trusted providers:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): your ad data and chat messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude models to generate analysis and responses. Anthropic does not use your data to train models.
- Supabase: our database provider. Your profile, chat history, and account data are stored securely in Supabase with row-level security — your data is isolated from other clients.
- Railway: our hosting provider. The Clarik server runs on Railway infrastructure.
- Meta (Facebook): we use the Meta Graph API to read your ad performance data with your permission.
4. What We Don't Do With Your Facebook Data
Clarik has read-only access to your Facebook Ads account. We do NOT:
- Modify, pause, or delete your campaigns or ads
- Spend or reallocate your advertising budget
- Post on your Facebook Page or profile
- Access your personal messages, friends list, or non-ad-related Facebook data
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for the minimum time necessary:
- Raw ad performance data: up to 7 days
- Analytics summaries and weekly reports: up to 30 days
- Chat history and session memory: while your account is active
- Your Facebook ID, access token, and ad account ID: until you disconnect or request deletion
- Email address: until you unsubscribe or request deletion
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Disconnect your Facebook account from Clarik at any time via Facebook's app settings
- Opt out of weekly email reports at any time
- Request a copy of your stored data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at clarikaiforu@gmail.com and we'll respond within 5 business days.
7. Security
We take security seriously:
- Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) — each client's data is fully isolated
- Facebook access tokens are stored encrypted and never logged or printed
- All communication between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS
- We do not use your credentials in any client-facing or publicly accessible code
8. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to remember that you've connected your Facebook account (storing only your Facebook user ID). This allows you to access your agent dashboard without re-authenticating each visit. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this Privacy Policy as our Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
